- 1 block of super firm tofu, cubed**
- 1/4 c corn starch
- 2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp orange marmalade or preserves
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 bunch of broccolini
- 1-2 tbsp oil, I use avocado
- Garlic lemon seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Green onion, optional
- Sesame seeds, optional
- Preheat oven to 425° F
- Clean and trim broccolini. Place on a baking sheet and lightly drizzle (or spray) with oil and season with garlic lemon seasoning to preference. Pop in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until cooked to desired tenderness.
- Place 1-2 tbsp oil in a pan and heat on medium heat.
- Cubed your block of tofu and place in a large bowl.
- Sprinkle tofu with the cornstarch and gently toss/mix/stir to coat tofu.
- Place tofu in the heated pan, careful to make sure the tofu pieces are not touching each other. (This is important!! Your tofu will stick together from the starch if they touch.) Cook tofu until crispy on all sides.
- While tofu is cooking, make the sauce. To do this in a small bowl combine the tamari, rice vinegar, orange marmalade, and white pepper.
- Once tofu is done, add the sauce to the pan and toss/stir to coat.
- And done! This meal can be paired with a side of rice and top with sliced green onion and sesame seeds.
** For the tofu, you can also use firm tofu and press it for 20-30 minutes prior to use.
